In the Dumps

Maybe it is the Iowa weather. Maybe it is just being old and realizing that I will never have the money to really have a good retirement. Maybe it is the winter blues. Even the 93 cents my ING account has earned for me this month hasn't made me smile. I did throw in five dollars today but it did nothing for my spirit.

    Hey, you're not old. Old is maybe 85! Think young, know that you have the skills to be frugal, and live on less than the average person. Think positive thoughts, when you find yourself feeling negative, and smile..

    have challenging work that you love. The blue funk will pass in a bit and you'll be back to your sunshiney self!!

    January is a tough month and hard on people. I have a tendency to struggle through January. Take good care of yourself and schedule some movies, books, fun project, or even a dinner you love for this month. And if the sun shines, get out for a little while. The lack of sunshine can cause you to be down. Keep in touch. We care.

    Marymara you can come visit me in Florida and if you like it and decide to stay ... we have more than our fair share of mentally challenged adults here (especially during tourist season!) Smile
